Providing Dance Classes & Events for Your Health & Fun !

ABOUT US

OUR MISSION     To  promote Argentine Tango as a premier movement exercise for personal health to the healthcare industry, the community-at-large, and through the Dance for Your Health program.

OUR STRATEGY    Provide dance instruction to special needs persons, veterans, and senior to help these individuals recover and maintain physical balance, mobility, mental acuity, and emotional well-being. Our offerings are intended to increase quality of life.

Our classes are especially designed for seniors and persons with neurological disorders, such as Parkinon's, MS, Alzheimer's, etc. They promote improved balance, mobility, and mental acuity, and they are fun and social, and they are a partner activity.

OUR METHODOLOGY
For the Argentine Tango lessons, Dance for Your Health utilizes a curriculum originally developed at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. It was created by Gammon Earhart, PhD, for use in her 5 year study for the NIH (National Institutes of Health), to study the effects of Argentine Tango on Parkinson's patients.

OUR FOUNDING    Passport to Live and the Dance for Your Health program were founded in 2014 by individuals who are seniors and some with Parkinson's Disease. Their unique understanding of the needs and limitations of mobility, money, and obtaining quality services, products, and events at reasonable prices was the driving force leading to the formation of Passport to Live. The addition of products, services, events, etc. occurred immediately after the concept began and was implemented within 1 month of the original concept.
